I’m 13 Years old turning 14 soon, and I really want to learn how to play the violin or guitar. Am I too old to start learning how to play, and if I’m not will I suck at playing? And, I don’t really know how to read the music, so would that affect anything?

Mail this post I am 13 years old and I am going to start violin lessons in about 2 days. I already know how to play the piano and the guitar, so I know how to read music. I am REALLY into music and it’s pretty much my life. =]

Mail this post I’m taking violin lessons this semester. I’ve played violin for almost 13 years. I’m looking for some more contemporary, not-classical songs/solos to play. I’m up for anything, from bluegrass to more traditional songs. I just need some new music besides all my old Suzuki books. Any suggestions?
