@jproskate It was from a concert in 1979. Ormandy was close to 80 then, and Perlman would have been in his early to mid 30′s.

Perlman nie jest tak precyzyjny jak Kulka więc Kulka jest niezrównany w interpretacji Szymanowskiego za to Perlman jest niedościgniony w repertuarze romantycznym. Kochamy Rubinsteina choć wiadomo, że niedostatki techniczne zręcznie maskował pedałem ale to on a nie np. precyzyjny do bólu Gould rozsławił muzykę Chopina.

I have mixed feelings about Perlman, but I’ve heard 5 different recordings or videos of him playing the Tchaikovsky concerto and he’s always great on it.
